Making evidence available to those who can generate social change
For Dimes, responsible business practices and smart policies prevent potential harms, ensure accountability and deliver lasting value. Through our research and strategy engagements, we help clients build data- and evidence-driven policies and programs. In our engagement with rights-holders and their advocates, Dimes conducts research and documentation on human rights violations and co-develops strategies aimed at accessing justice. In our engagement with the business and financial sectors, Dimes enables the development of approaches that drive inclusion, social change, and sustainability, thereby ensuring that strategies and policies are both aligned with key international standards and respond to the specific local context.
Dimes offers a wealth of combined experience in the fields of international development, human rights and responsible finance to the table. We specialize in strategy and program development and implementation; stakeholder and knowledge management; monitoring, documenting and reporting (MDR); and field research coordination. We work independently and as partners to multi-lateral organizations, government bodies, private sector and financial service providers, civil society organizations and academia, and most importantly, the populations we aim to reach. The Dimes team has experience in working across different contexts and regions, including countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and the Middle East.
Unique Strengths of Dimes
Inter-disciplinary
We bring extensive knowledge of the intersection between business, finance, and human rights to the table, including inclusive and responsible finance and corporate social responsibility. We complement this with a deep understanding of the dynamics in the development sector, donor funding mechanisms , and accountability mechanisms for corporate involvement in human rights violations.
Multi-stakeholder
Having worked with partners in policymaking, practice, research and product development, Dimes leverages unique inter-professional insight in approaching complex issues. As we have brought together diverse individuals from the fields of human rights, social science, gender studies, business and financial sectors, and youth development, Dimes creates new thinking by crossing boundaries and facilitating novel communication.
Global Perspective on Local Issues
Having worked in international policymaking as well as on local initiatives, Dimes brings experience and expertise from both the global, regional and national perspectives.
Transparency
We are an open and transparent team, fully committed to the needs of our clients and partners. We believe in making the journey together – truly. By sharing knowledge on opportunities and sector-specific challenges, we continue to grow, learn, and deepen our shared expertise.
Co-creation
We believe in a need to bring policies to life. Policy should not be a goal in itself – it should lead the creation of positive impact. We aim to establish client co-ownership of projects by developing all concepts and products in close collaboration and consultation. We guarantee that our partners and stakeholders are equipped with the appropriate tools to formulate as well as implement their ideas.
